Summer 2009 gave rise to the nucleus of the band as founding member Keith Baird hooked up with guitarist michael atherton and began laying down the first tracks of the project.

Work began for the 'brass knuckle bondage and morgue rules' ep in october as paul tallent of the band 'brilliant mind' stepped in as a session drummer, in order to help the project realise the recording.

After the initial recording sessions at the begining of 2010 chris mcleod, formerly of doom outfit 'nord' took up drumming duty; quickly followed by jessica hardy providing both vocal and bass.
